I got a great concept, will it work?

First off you guys are great !

My question is I have the I-phone 3G 8gig

I seen the break down and the IC that controll different areas of the I-Phone.... On the chip the "Numonyx" that has 8 gig or 16 gig

#PF38F3050M0Y0CE. Installed in these units , what is the possibilty of going from a 8gig to a 16gig or even a 32gig by unsoldering the chip and replace it with a 16gig or 32gig?

I'm aware of using a heat sink and low heat, as well as no static while working on the unit. I have replaced vertical IC's Horizontal IC's on CRT TV's . What do you think? Is this possible?
