After getting to know the device, I have been able to solve this problem on my own. Before digging into the inside of the Walkman, it is important to make sure your headphones are not the problem. Try another set of headphones or a portable speaker and see if it works. If not, you may need to replace the headphone jack on the Walkman by following this guide.
