When I try to use my computer, there is no picture on my monitor. It's like I can't get it to wake up. My computer is totally unresponsive to the keyboard and mouse and stays black no matter what I do. What's wrong with it?

Check to see if the monitor has been turned on; if not, press the Power button.
Check to see if the monitor power cord is loose; if so, plug the power cord
securely into the monitor.
Check to see if the signal cable to the monitor is securely connected to the
connector on the computer graphics card; if not, shut down the computer
then connect the signal cable of the monitor securely to the connector on the
computer graphics card.

First of all you need to make sure about cables and connectors. are they properly connected. if they are connected properly but still you are having same problem then it might be problem with your monitor or graphics.
