A friend of mine just broke the digitizer to their 4.7 inch Iphone 6. The screen is intact, is there a digitizer replacement only part out there? or do they all come with the screens?

amimizino, yes they most certainly are around.. Biggest issue with that is the need to separate the LCD from the digitizer. To do that properly, you will most certainly need something like a LCD spearator. Once you have it separated, if lucky, you will still need to find the proper adhesive (LOCA/OCA) to properly allign and adhere the pieces. I would sugest that you replace the assembly. Yes, it is more costly, but your chances of getting it done right are much greater.

I've done it on all the other versions of the iPhone, not to mention the HTC Evo 4g. Is there a reason this would be more complicated than they are? Usually I just slightly heat the old adhesive with a blow drier, then lift the old screen off, and affix the new one with provided adhesive from the people that I bought the glass from, is that not an option here?

Sure, it's always an option. You never know until you try it.
Well after looking around, I've found something interesting, unlike previous phones I've dealt with the glass and the digitizer are separate (or at least sold that way on ebay) which is definitively confusing. Anyone on here know where I can get the digitizer/glass assembly as one piece without the LCD?
amimizino, since iPhone 5, there is no digitizer anymore. Touch function is integrated directly into the LCD, front glass is just a piece of glass.
