Why won't my phone hold a charge?

Yall is it possible to damage A cell phone charging(mechanism) port,inside phone(board),now i've tried other chargers that work(for sure)let it charge allnite still no charge,It fell hard on it's back, of course I have not tried A new battery,but the battery in the phone is A good battery it always hold A charge.I had the phone new for 4yrs not in use but for 1yr in use,can this phone be fix.THANKS
