I have charged the device in multiple outlets, but it still won't power on again--I am not sure if the device is even holding a charge. Any suggestions are appreciated!

First, make sure that the Kindle Fire is charged. To check that it is charging, make sure the charger is plugged into your device correctly, and that the outlet you are using is providing electricity. (Try plugging in something else to the same outlet and making sure that it works.) If your device is charged, but still not powering on, there is most likely an issue with the motherboard. There is an even higher likelihood that your motherboard may have failed if your device has been subjected to any water damage or a powerful electric shock. I know this is probably too late for you, but I have seen an issue with this tablet where it is actually turned on but the screen doesn't light up. You can tell this is happening because if you keep pressing the power button (holding it to initiate a shutdown) you here the beeps from the pop-up window confirming if you really want to turn it off.
If you press on the edges/slightly twist the tablet you can get the screen to turn on again and it will work fine for a period of time.

Plug it in like normal and wait a while then hold the button for 30 seconds or so then wait a minute then hold it again. If that doesn't work click it over and over just annoy it it should turn on

I had this occur to me before. Plug you device in to the USB and brick it came with, plug the brick in to a outlet, and then hold the power button for 30-40 seconds, and it should turn on. If it doesn't, you may need to contact Customer Support.

My Fire HD 6 (4th Generation) can not see Wi-Fi and it is working (1000% on my computer) I add, again, the information of the Wi-Fi from my company, but nada, nothing. Please help. Thank you.

I do not have an answer but surely am frustrated. I replaced the screen on my kindle fire HD 6 and made sure to follow the directions exactly, even triple checked my work. The fire will power up (i can hear messages coming in) but the screen will not light up. Am about to take it all apart yet again but this is really a big problem as this is my favorite kindle!

My kindle was fully charged when it decided not not turn on….so this “charge it up thing” was of no assistance. Thanks for trying though. KC
