Mini displayport fixable? or not?

I have got an imac (late 2009) EMC 2308 with a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics card. A couple of days back my power randomly turned off whilst my computer was running. As soon as the power went back on, I started my computer back up. I have got a second monitor plugged in thru my MINI-DISPLAYPORT and since the power-breakdown my second monitor is not connection.

I have checked the MINI-DISPLAY to VGA adapter and my monitor. Nothing wrong with those.

After some searching on the internet, if found out that my MINI-DISPLAYPORT could be broken because of the power-breakdown. Now, I could not find any solutions for a broken MINI-DISPLAYPORT.

I hope someone can help me with the final question: What can you do to replace or repair a broken MINI-DISPLAYPORT?
