blue vertical line of stuck pixels

my M8 just randomly developed a vertical line of blue pixels from top to bottom along with a horizontal line (that doesn't go all the way from side to side) that changes colors and sits in the upper quarter of the screen.

I didn't drop the handset or expose it to liquid, it was just set on my desk for hours, and when I turned the screen on an hour ago, it had those lines on it.

I've since run a dead pixel fixing app, which did nothing.

I've also rebooted a couple times, which didn't help either.

I've flashed the GPE ROM and unlocked the bootloader, otherwise I'd just go to HTC to have it replaced.. this is annoying.

has this happened to anyone?

I've had the phone for about 2 months. new.
