How do I transfer home button from old display assembly?

Hey all,

I have an iPad original generation Wifi model, with a cracked screen. I'm planning on replacing the broken glass with a new display assembly from eBay, as it is cheaper than the iFixit version.

However, unlike the iFixit assembly, the eBay display does not include a home button. I don't mind transferring the old home button from the original display assembly to the new one. I didn't see any instructions from iFixit on how to actually remove the home button, only the home button switch. I also checked on Youtube, Google, and this website without any luck.

Can anyone please explain how to swap the home button from a 1st gen WiFi iPad to the new display assembly, or point me in the direction of a guide that would explain this?
