Why can't I see anything on the main screen?

When I go to use my phone, I press the green talk button to use it, and hear a dial tone but my screen is blank. No information is displayed on the screen at all. It is still functional in the sense that I can dial out and receive call, I just can't see anything on the screen. What would be the first and simplest step to try to fix my screen? I don't want to tear the whole phone apart, but I am willing to see if this is an easy fix!

It is somewhat hard to tell if the wiring to your screen is bad or if the screen itself is not working. If you're wanting to keep it simple, I would just try to replace the LED screen. You will need some tools and a little bit of time, but if it takes care of this issue then it will be worth it in the end!

My display replacement guide will take about 5 minutes of your time!

I have a similar problem with a Uniden TRU8888 corded phone. The screen is blank. When I dial a number, it appears on the screen. When a call comes in, the Caller ID does not function until the 2nd or 3rd ring. I cannot find a replacement for this unit other than cordless on ebay. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
