hdmi not connecting tv
i can not get my hdmi after i installed update 8.1

Hi Robert,
Make sure that your driver for HDMI is up to date. The update to Windows 8.1 does not mean that the drivers will get updated as well. Go to your computer manufacturers support web site and search for your specific drivers there.

You should open device manager in your control panel settings. There you can see if there is a driver installed for hdmi. It can tell you if the driver is functioning properly or if it has conflicts. It will usually have a warning symbol beside hardware with conflicts. I'm going to guess that the update replaced this driver with one that is not functioning correctly. You will want to uninstall the driver causing issues. You will want to find the correct driver and install it. You should be able to download it from Asus's website.

I can try to find a driver if you let me know what model of laptop you have.

thank you for the response i have checked the drivers and you are correct i don't see any driver for hdmi and I have been over at asus website and i cant find any driver over there either and the one i did find did nothing and gave me a error saying not compatible with my os
thank you if you other suggestion please i am really needing this fixed
