I fitted a new 1tb hard drive turned on the machine, with restore. I went to my time machine to reinstall no hard drive showed up.
In fist aid the disc was there but not the second image and I could not use verify or repair on it
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

You need to format the drive for use on a Mac. Boot from your original system installation disk and use Disk Utilities for format it it GUID & Mac Extended,
