How can I get one of the buttons moving freely again?
When I try to press the ‘A’ button it is extremely stiff, as if it is frozen. I can’t get any response on the 3DS.

Do you mean that the button is jammed, or that it's not responding when pressed? (Either of these solutions can be found on the troubleshooting guide.)
