would a Display Assembly replacement fix this?

Hello,

I've purchased iFixit parts in the past and my wife has damaged her iPhone 6 and I'm wondering if I can repair it by simply replacing the front panel. Basically the iPhone was in her purse and some liquid spilled and must've leaked into the phone.

I've attached a photo of the damage. Everything about the phone works--the display just has some discoloration. Any guidance would be appreciated.

yes, that screen is fine, you just need a new backlight. See if you can find a cracked screen for sale and then just desolder and transfer the backlight over.

Otherwise, yes, a new screen assembly will solve.
