Device turning off after screen replacement

OK, so I dropped an iphone 6 and the screen was a mess (both the glass and the LCD). The screen protudes a little on one side due to a slight bend in the frame. After a new screen, which works perfectly, I'm now finding that the device turns itself off after 5mins except when it is connected to a power source.

Has the repair guy done something wrong? Or is the phone just broken? Will apple repair it out of warranty or is there something I can do?

Power management ic gone bad from physical damage if another battery has already been tried.

Nothing to do with the person that repaired it.

You have to damage the phone pretty bad for it to happen. Especially on the right side of the screen. Any iPhone 5 or higher with damage inside LCD indicates the phone has been physically damaged pretty badly.

Once an iPhone is fixed by someone other then Apple, you automatically void any existing warranties from Apple. Now, Apple will most likely fix it as an out of warranty product, which will be a crazy price for the 6. My guess is that the proximity sensor flex cable is a dud and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.

for the last 3hrs I have been scouring the internet looking for what is wrong and it was this answer that has saved me from taking a hammer to my phone!!

Put the phone in DFU mode and restore it again with Itunes. Then the iphone will work normal again.

Have just got screen replaced on boys iPhones six won't reboot on iTunes or anything now apple logo keeps going on off on off on off on off.....and I'm skint a &€#% off,helpppppppp

I have a similar issue here. I had the display panel and the battery on my Iphone 6s replaced in January at non-AASP. They gave the replacement job a 1-year warranty. All this time there's been a tiny dark area on the top-right corner of the display. Yesterday I finally got fed up with it and had the display replaced again, at the same place.

The replacement display was a total piece of junk, being unresponsive on several spots. So I went back there again, and at the same breath complained about the poorly functioning proximity sensor. Ok, the front camera was replaced too, along with the display.

After leaving the store and walking to a bus stop, I noticed that my phone shut itself down. I turned around and headed back, with my phone shutting itself twice on my way, and the guy checked inside my phone, finding nothing wrong inside, but making quesses of a motherboard gone bad or a bad quality spare part. I explained to him that I'm almost insanely careful about my Iphone, and throwing it around my apartment isn't my cup of tea.

He then advised me to do a factory reset, in hopes that this might do the trick. Well, it didn't.

Servieris Sales suggested there that an issue like this might be caused by a faulty proximity sensor cable. So, my question is, how likely is this? Thanx!!!

Hi there everyone. I am badly in need of your help. I dropped my Huawei y6 ii . After a screen replacement , now when my device goes to sleep ,it keeps restarting by itself. It does not turn off when I am using it or when it's connected to a charger but as soon as put it down and it goes to sleep , it turns off by itsef and after a minute or so turns on automatically. What's more surprising to me is that it does not turn off when I am using it . And I have also noticed black screen after a call ends or screen locks although it's notification light keeps blinking but the screen doesn't wake up. Overall the mobile is working absolutely fine. The battery is also in a good health. I also tried factory reset but it didn't work . There seems to be an issue in the hardware I guess . It's so frustrating. Please help me.
