computer hook up
i tried to add songs to the i pod and when its hook up to the computer it freezes and i have to restart it

If its the iPod that is freezing you may just need to do a restore in iTunes.
When you hook the iPod up to your computer it should show up in iTunes.
If this is the case there should be a Restore option right on the iPods screen in iTunes.
If this is not your problem please inform us of your exact problem.

I agree with varsityanchor on this one. The only thing I would try before restore is a different USB port on your computer. Also, make sure that you connect the iPod directly to the USB and not through a hub. You could also try to reinstall iTunes just in case there is conflict with some other software on your computer...good luck to you and let us know how it is going

Oh, it's easy. Many people have such problem. You can try the software "tuneup360". My friends and I all use it.
