1 How to replace the lens assembly
My Coolpix P7000 developed the dreaded lens cover problem, i.e. they would not fully open.
I have bought a replacement lens assembly and have started to strip down the camera to remove thee old one.
But, I have gotten as far as the mother board and I am now stuck, I cannot se how to remove the optical view finder assy.
I am now wondering if I need to remove the front and /or the top covers ?
I include a photo of my progress so far.
