How do I replace my charging port?
I got the part but have not found the guide on ifix it, can you help?

LaRivieresr, does not look like there is one specifically for the charging port. Try this video and see if it works for you. While you are replacing the charging port, take lots of pictures and make a guide for the rest of us.

We have a Kindle Fire that isn't accepting a charge. Is that the connector or is it the battery? Where would you get it fixed?

Apparently charge port on these Amazon fire tablets are notorious for coming loose and/or disconnecting from the tablet. Usually a solder joint breaks. We got 1 for each of our 5 yr. old granddaughter & both won't charge after approximately 5 months use. Are they worth repairing in shop? Key is, & no one tells you this, you have to carefully, gently plug them in & let them be until fully charged. Don't move them while charging because those charging ports are so so delicate you will “wiggle" yourself right into a broken tablet. Buyer beware!
