Why is my phone acting so slowly/responding oddly?

Today I replaced my logic board, battery, back-facing camera, and some other odds and ends (mostly omitted screws from a lazy mechanic). But when I finished not only did my power button stop working, my touch screen has been 'glitchy.'

It doesn't properly respond to my touch every time (doesn't let me open apps when I touch them the first time, seems to glitch when I switch between screens [jumping between them instead of sliding], the notification center doesn't slide down from the top, and the control panel doesn't slide up from the bottom).

Any advice for this rookie repairman?

Thanks!

Was the logic board new or a used one

used, a-stock. i replaced that weeks ago and it worked well in the interim. today i replaced five missing screws, the camera, and added some of the grounding covers from a different iPhone 4s.

The problem dissipated over the course of a day and by the next morning it was functioning normally; odd.

This sounds like you have too much occupied memory. The phone needs to get rid of some of it, to be able to operate "normally"

Hmm. Weird. Not enough power? Are you using the same battery, from the original phone?
