LED on the power button comes on but no power

One of my customer came in with a Asus Zenbook UX301LA 1.7Ghz i7 laptop with no power and not charging issue. Under microscopic inspection, the positive supply contact from the charging port to logic board was broken and a component right next to it had blown. Later found out that the blown component was a fuse because the component measured .1 ohm on the multimeter and beeped in continuity mode on a good working board. So, put a wire/ blob of solder to bridge that gap. Now, the led on the charger goes from green to orange like when it's charging and also the led on the power button in the keyboard turn on but no other activities are noted.. So, plugged the laptop in a external monitor with hdmi capability. There's no signal. After that I tried, transferring the unusual form factor ssd onto the working board which is an i5 1.6Ghz processor. It boots up and shows the "Aptio setup utility" by American Megatrends version 204, Gop version 5.0.1032, Ec version F01s070001. So, went to the advanced tab>sata configuration>Raid (correct option) hit f10.

Nothing goes back to the same bios screen where I started. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Update:

After following the steps listed at http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/346...

I enabled the Launch CSM but first I had to disable the secure boot option. After doing so I got the following screens:

Also, I tried booting with AHCI option with only the Member Disk (0) and got this screen:

What should I do next?

Update (10/12/2015)

After pressing ctrl and I, I get to this screen and the only option I can select is 2. Delete Raid Volume and 3 Reset Disk to Non-Raid

I don't understand how RAID is the correct option if there is only one drive. The SATA config should be set to AHCI, and only for RAID if a RAID array has been built with that set of drives. (RAID requires multiple drives. A single drive setup should be using AHCI or NVMe.)

Try booting using AHCI, not RAID.

Hi, thank you for the response! I tried AHCI option but does not work either. To correct myself, the asus zenbook ux301LA has two M.2 2260 form factor ssd. I have decided to disable the secure boot option and make a bootable Linux usb drive to see if I can get to those ssd. If this does not work I will buy the right adapters and see if that works.

Take one of the SSDs out and try to load an operating system onto that in AHCI, as a method of troubleshooting. If that does not fix it, then try the other SSD.

Hi, I tried one ssd at a time with AHCI, no luck!
