Is that possible to replace basebad chip

Hi,

I got an Iphone 5s in 5$ , it was working perfectly as IPOD, but during updating IOS its stuck in Apple Logo , i show the phone to a local repair shop they said Basband chip is damaged and you need to replace the logic board.

But , my questions is i see many places like Aliexpress, Ebay .e.t.c have Baseband chips available , is that possible to replace the baseband chip only , will device will start and active after replacing ?

Thanks

Daiyan, the baseband chip is a BGA that will require a reball. So you will need to have a reflow machine as well as the right stencil etc. to do that. Even if you have all that, the IC needs to be pre-programmed to function with your phone, since there are multiple IC that are dependent on each other. Yes it can be replaced, no it is not going to work with your phone.
