Engine always cranks, but sometimes doesn't start

The ignition system concern is the most likely culprit. Possible crank sensor or ignitor if it has a distributor.

Re-solder/reflow or replace your main relay.

I have a 99 honda accord lx...Mine would die while driving but because it is a standard ignition it would start itself back up again and then here recently it started doing what yours is doing I would pull into the store turn off the car and it would just crank and die 6, 7, or 8 times before it would start up again....when this happens I would lose all my dash lights and radio and everything like there was no power going to it so I would jiggle the key and the car would eventually start...Honda had a recall on ignition switches for this year of honda in 2002...I bought the part and replaced it and it seems to be doing fine...just watch when this happens if you lose your dash and power to radio key buzzer ect. if you do then more than likely it is your ignitions switch.
