The number you gave appears to be a model made for the German or Austrian market. The most common way to identify a machine is by using the Model number and the EMC number. The Intel Mac Pro identification is located on the back of the unit on the ledge of the PCI slots. Mine is listed as Model No. A1186 EMC 2180 Next line shows the specs: MAC PRO/2.80X/2X1G/2600XT/320/SD/M/K. You also can look up any Mac past the G3, by the last three characters of its serial number. This is, in my opinion, the best way to identify your machine, here's the link:
