Why is my Magic Bullet just humming, but the blades aren't turning?

My Magic Bullet stopped Working from one day to the next, literally. It won't hum as the question above. It just won't do anything. I didn't do anything other than blending some veggies with water. Nothing different than what I have done since I bought it 8 months ago. I checked the outlet and the cord to see if there were dome kind of breakage or interruption, nothing there. Everything seems to be in order, there are no visible loose or broken parts. Cannot return it since its been more than 6 months and don't know what to do.
