which hard drive do I need?
The hard drive on my IMac 17 crashed. I have no idea what to replace it with. any thouhgts?

What you'll need to watch for is if the drive is backward compatible to SATA I (1.5 Gb/s). Drives today are rated at SATA III (6.0 Gb/s). Some are backward compatible to just SATA II (3.0 Gb/s).
It takes a 3.5" SATA drive.
