Water damaged iPhone with pixelated screen

Hello, my friends iphone has been water damaged and both of the indicators are bright red. I've order some isopropyl alcohol to try save it. Although the screen has weird pixels as if it can't get to a certain colour. I'm not sure how to explain it. Here is a image Link. As you can see the pixels are off its not just them spots and when the dynamic background moves so does the odd pixels. I know the screen needs replacing but will anything else need checking to know it's not just the screen and I'm not wasting my time and money.
