No power increase after new battery & charger

Hi everyone,

I have an iPhone 4s here that was water damaged. Seemed to be pretty minute, only had to change the battery to fix. Initially for the first day it was fine and then it would not take a charge. I swapped the charging port and battery twice to find no resolution. I am assuming it is a fault of the motherboard, but I would very curiously like to know if anyone out there is aware of the exact culprit of the issue.

Regardless of the battery, cable, block, or charge port, the percentage of the battery will not go up, yet it will recognize that it is plugged in. Computer even recognizes and syncs just fine.

i will start by looking if any of these capacitors

got burn or corrosion on them and try to clean them if they are burned they will need to be replaced. Please take the EMI shields of the iphone 4s the ones that can easy pull off and take a pic of front and back in order to help you more

I attached the photos to the original post. All the capacitors seem good. I cleaned them of with a soft brush and alcohol and still I get nothing..

On Picture 4 behind the vibrator connection on the board you will see L7_RF

try cleaning that with iso 99% and reheat it and give it a try let me the results.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will try that tomorrow when I have the phone. As far as "reheat" it goes, do you mean literally put heat on it? I have a heat gun and hot air station. Which should I use and at what temperature?

Use a hot air station on 250 for a minute and let it cool off for 5 minutes and reassemble it and tested.

I cleaned with 99% alcohol and did the heat. After applying heat the opposite side had a weird white substance that looked similar to corrosion. I just cleaned it right off with alcohol. Now the phone is still giving me the same results.

You may have to replace them .
