Certain keys on my laptop just quit working. I have looked, no dust, dirt, etch. Nothing has been spilt or anything. I have blown the keyboard... what is causing this?

Did you try to connect an extern keyboard ? If that works fine you know the problemen is the keyboard and not the computer itself. If it doens't help you shall need a new keyboard.
Btw, never blow or vacuum clean any kind of Electronics, it could cause static elektricity that could damage the circuitboards!
