How difficult is it to replace the lid cover?

Hey,

I'm looking into replacing several case components on my MacBook due to a horrible run in with Acetone. Now I can see that the iFixit guide for changing the top case is "moderate" but there isn't really a guide for replacing the lid cover.

I presume it would be essentially the same as MacBook Core 2 Duo LCD Panel Replacement - but this tutorial seems incredibly difficult and I am wondering if it is worth the time and the effort to replace the casing.

By lid cover, do you mean the white clamshell on the back of the screen?

If so, you need the rear bezel guide. It's difficult (all the components of the display are screwed into the rear bezel), but by no means impossible.
