Can you put in the same processor in my late 2008 Macbook, but with a faster speed

The CPU is integrated into the logic board and cannot be replaced outside of a major work over using a soldering station. Not a job for an intermediate tech. The other option is to upgrade the logic board to a higher one in your series.
