Bought used iPhone, Ended Up Being Bent
Bought an iphone 5s, used, was under the impression it was 32gb gold with a damaged screen. Seller told me that the only issue was the screen. I bought the phone and handed him the money without really looking at it too much, as it was a quick meet outside of a store. After I got in my vehicle I inspected it and realized it was silver, the screen was damaged and the phone itself was bent. I plugged it into my computer and it shows 11gb free of 14gb meaning the phone was not 32gb but rather a 16gb model. Seller also told me it is locked to Telus, but due to his other incorrect info I don't believe it anymore. He blew me off when I tried to mention the issues.
Since it's used, and also the screen is shattered I'm not able to get it "replaced" from apple or anything.
My questions are these:
1. The bend isn't overly crazy, should I put iPhone between two wood pieces and tighten in C clamps/vise until it is relatively straight enough to install a new screen on it?
2. Any way to figure out if the iPhone is actually locked to Telus without using the screen? The top left corner is visible. Enough to see the "No Sim" in the top. The touch doesn't work on the screen so I can't go through settings, or slide to unlock.
3. What is my best course of action?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
