Just fixed my iPod now it won't work

I took my ipod apart to fix the LCD screen brand new from your site. When I reconnected it there was a back light but no screen but my computer recognized the ipod.

I double checked the connections and tried again now I have no sound, no screen, and my computer can't tell the ipod is even there. I can't even get the old screen to run. Anyone run into a similar problem.

The battery is new and so is the lcd screen.

I'm missing the clip that locks down the ribbon for the LCD screen. I'm currently looking for the right type of connector on the DigiKey site so I can replace the clip. If anyone knows where I can find the connector that would solve all my problems. I definitely don't want to spend 100 dollars on a replacement motherboard and I'm hoping to avoid buying a replacement ipod.
