if i install cyanogenmod 13, do i keep all my data, like my photos and apps? if i don't, can i put a nandroid backup on the cyanogenmod 13? please help!

When you want to install Cyanogenmod 13, you have to wipe data / factory reset the phone before doing so or else Cyanogenmod 13 will not obot.
For apps I use titanium backup to backup my apps to an SD card. For the photos I keep them on the sd card too. For contacts, I either have them synced to my Google account or exported into sim card.

thank you for the answer! just 1 question, if i do a nandroid backup with clockworkmod of my phone without cyanogenmod 13, can i "put" it on the cyanogenmod?
The version of cyanogenmod doesn't matter really when you use titanium backup. You are simply backing up app data and the whole app itself to another location with the app. Then you can restore the apps and data.
No, you cannot simply just put it back on the cyanogenmod if you don't use titanium backup, I think it won't go smoothly.
