What is the maximum distance the speaker can stay connected?

My speaker works well when it is right next to the paired device but as I move from one room to another, the connection is lost or poor.

With no obstacles in the way, the maximum range of the speaker is 33 feet. However, any obstacles (people, objects, walls, etc), will reduce the range drastically.
