My ipod froze up while I was charging it and so I tried to reset it by holding the menu button and the power button, so then it restarted and it showed the apple and it started loading but then froze up while it was trying to turn on. Why doesn't my ipod work?

Restart it. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until a red slider appears on the screen. Slide it, and it will shortly shut off completely. Press the sleep/wake button until the apple logo appears to turn it back on. If that doesn't work, there's more on the product support page.
