The picture on our LG V5500 LED TV all of a sudden has difficulty with certain colors. Some images seen clear but others are very funky. Dark colors in particular. Green splotches appear over darker colors with vertical lines appearing in the splotches.

This is possibly a LED driver board issue (around $40USD), a bad main board, or a bad LCD (unlikely) I'd go with a new driver board. This one should work

I had a plasma (as opposed to a LCD) and it did this and it was the logic board dying. I would suspect something similar is happening with yours. The repair parts alone were more expensive than a new TV, however your case may be different. A quick google with your exact model # and "logic board" may get you the answers you need.
