Logic Board Replacement for MacBook-Air

Hi, I want to replace my MacBook-Air Early 2014 Logic Board with this MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-Early 2014) 1.7 GHz Logic Board board which has same graphics but upgdaded or more powerful cpu is it possible.

PS - I am replacing my board because my MBA shuts down itself after 1 or 2 minute of usage.

Is Logic Board Replacement necessary or I can get it fixed.

My MBA powers on and, I can use it for 1 minute to 5 minutes after that it shuts down. After that I let cool for 15 to 30 minutes and then I can use it again for 2 to 3 minutes.

Apple is charging me INR 40k.

Its almost half the price of a new MBA.

It could be fixable depending on what's wrong.

Did you have liquid spilled onto it? Did anyone disassemble it prior to this issue? Did you drop it? History is important. Let us know so that we can better understand the issue and help you out.

No liquid damage, I did not drop it.

Yes I went to apple to get it checked they told me it's a logic board problem.

You said it depends please let me know if you want to know something else.

You are going for the wrong repair. Ask for a "flat rate repair" directly with Apple. In US dollars that is $357 tax and shipping included, if this is not water or impact damage.

I talked to the apple guys they won't give me any discount. And it's neither liquid damage nor i have dropped it.

And apple is only giving me 3 months warranty on the new logic board.

That's not right! Go up the ladder, so to senior management. Did you mention the "Flat Rate Repair"? Are you talking to Apple or an ASP? Do not talk about an upgraded board. Just see if they will do the repair. If not they are in violation of Apple's Corporate Policy and trying to screw you.

von

I talked to both Apple Service Center guys and Apple Customer care guys.

Apple Service center guys are saying that the repair will cost 40k INR, and they also said that sometime they(Apple) give away free parts and repair if your case is genuine so i talked to the customer care guys on phone and they asked their seniors whether they will entertain my request it was a NO they said i have to go for an paid repair which is for 40k.

Please help tell me what to do.

von

And I don't know anything about the flat rate repair.

What's that?

von

Well Google it!
