My lawn mower won't start

I wonder if it is a starter problem? The clicking problem for me was when my battery was really dead and could no longer be charged properly although an 'expert' said I needed a new starter. I thought trying the cheapest and simplest solution first was my answer so did not buy a starter that I did not need after all. After buying a new battery after 7 years of use, it works fine now. Often it is the simplest thing - go over the connection to your battery and make sure it is charged up, even if it is new.
