Tablet won't turn on
Tablet will not turn on. When power button pressed, screen shows a darkly whiteish screen. Nothing happens. We have even pressed resetbutton a few times. Still nothung

Sandy, read through a few forums on RCA tablet won't turn on, most of them suggest, push the power and volume up button down at the same time for 10-20 seconds. Try this once or twice. If it does not turn on wait a few minutes and try holding down power and volume button again. They also state to try charging it through your computer, as some times the USB will some how kick start the charging again in case of faulty tablet charger. Check and read the links attached for more info. on how to power up your tablet.

There is a reset hole on back of tablet next to the SD card slot. Use a paperclip to reset ( you should feel a slight click) then hold power button and voila!!!

I don’t know what I did that caused it to come on because I tried several of the suggestions here…like pressing the on and sound at the same time and reset.. but when it came on I think I was pressing the reset and on at the same time. I was about to throw it away before I found these postings. Now I have to put the little screws back in it as I had torn it apart to see if something was loose or broken

My wife’s RCA tablet had been dropped and would not “turn on”. I placed it on a different charger to make sure the charger wasn’t defective and while charging, I heard a chime from the tablet so I then I felt it had to be something with the display. Upon opening the unit, I found that the ribbon cable that connects the primary board to the display had been pulled from its socket. The cable was secured with a piece of tape on the battery and when dropped, the weight of the battery pulled the ribbon cable from its socket. Reinserted cable and all is well.

How did you get it open?
The model I have doesnt have the volume buttons on it, they are all on screen, so what do I do now

Same here, but if you look on the back right below your on/off button, you will see a little tab that has 2 dots, one bigger than the other, that is your volume button. Thats where mine is, try and see if yours is there, too. Big dot is up, small is down. Hope this helps.
Thankfully, i followed the instruction by holding down the power button and the volume button at the same time for the 10 -20 seconds. First attempt nothing but on the second attempt it came on and is working. Thanks

Took back off after I mashed reset button and all. I go to pull charger out and it flashed. It doesn't it when I try pull it out??

Can you unplug the battery and plug it back in?

Hello, I have tried almost everything I could find on YouTube to get my RCA Viking Pro 10 to work, and at 1st it worked when I unplugged the battery and plugged it back in, but then after a week of leaving it alone it just stopped working completely, the blue light to indicate that the charger is turning on but it should be flashing off and on, and it isn’t doing that, could this be a battery issue?

Hi, I have the RCA Viking pro tablet and it stopped working/turning on about a week ago and the blue light that indicates it’s charging stopped coming on. I tried everything to get it to come on and nothing worked so I got frustrated and left it alone. Then tonight I noticed the blue light was on indicating it was charging and I opened it and it was on but stuck on the Viking Pro screen like it was in a reboot loop or something, so I hit the reset button and it turned off and back on did the same thing for about ten minutes. So I hit the reset again and this time it’s back to not turning on and the charging light won’t come on again! Someone please help! It’s driving me insane! Is it a bad battery or what?

My tablet is in fastboot mode and I'm not sure how it ended up this way. I have followed all of the suggestions on what to do but nothing works
Also it doesn't seem to hold charge
Do these two issues have anything to do with the other? Thanks for any help!!! I'm very curious as to what the problem is
