Unknown Kindle model is Locked.
I received it as a present and am not sure which model it is.There is a lock icon displayed on the screen. Is there a way to unlock it ?

Can you describe the device as good as you can? Is is it black and white or color display? Is it a touch display or you have buttons on it? Depending on what device you have I might be able to give you some pointers. What do you mean by "There is a lock icon" ?

If it's an e-reader and you forgot the display lock pin just enter 111222777 and you should be able to reset it to factory settings. If it is one with keyboard enter resetmykindle. Kindle fire devices are a bit more complex to reset:)
