rickgerken3 the thread on the studs is M10-1.5 and the hex for the nuts is 17mm. Chevy is known to do some relatively goofy things, so you should arm yourself with a 17mm and 19mm socket. This answer may of course change, if you come up with some oddball model truck and engine. You missed that totally in your question. Year and model as well as engine size are always helpful in getting the proper answer.

I'm a certified Automotive Repair Technician, just started my own business called: Mike's Mechanix in Hampton Roads, VA. I'm about to be working on a Chevy S10 tomorrow for a customer, intake manifold replacement actually. I'll check the sizes for you and repost tomorrow! Should be a 10mm or a 12mm though

Mike advertise in your profile tell all about your business there and leave the forum for answers

Mike Brennan then why not answer it tomorrow? Congratulations to your new business but not smart to advertise in this forum. you do want to do that in your profile, not your answers.

Not advertising, as I have no idea where this gentleman is at my good sir :) It helps me when I know that the person giving me advice actually knows what they're talking about, and I was listing some recent common issues with Chevy trucks that I have dealt with. Thank you for letting me know that I can post my business in my profile though! I am new to this app and did not know you could do that. Did not mean any offense by what I posted. Was only meaning to offer my professional opinion, expertise, and help, as many others have done on this app :)

@mikesmechanix no offense taken. Welcome to ifixit. Yes, we are a crusty bunch but always welcome new people that help us helping others. Great to have another gearhead besides @jimfixer on here. We do take spamming serious and we'll let you off the hook since you explained to us what you are up to. Great idea about your credentials. I'd suggest that you place all your personal and business info in your profile. Once you have done that, it will be okay to refer to it whenever you give an answer. There are a few mods on here that will keep you straight and try to guide you in case of disputes or clarification. We are informal, all volunteers and not directly connected to ifixit as a business. The CEO of ifixit and his great crew are providing this space to us to accomplish their mission and vision. Start checking out what it really is all about by visiting this page. We do take fixing serious and frown upon flaming, rudeness, and true bullying. Pay is lousy (non-existent) hours are horrible but great company. Kind off like being self -employed ;-) If you like an answer or a question, vote it up. If you feel it is absolutely wrong or less than intelligent vote it down (down votes are not to be used as"punishment"). That's pretty much it in a nutshell and I am sure other mods and great volunteers will watch you and guide you as well. If you have a question, just ask away. If you check the usernames and see an "@" use that since it will send an automatic notification to that user. i.e. @oldturkey03 in my case
