Half of my screen has dark lines going through the left side of the screen and it will not respond to my touch. The battery is also overheating each time I put it to charge. What do I need to do to fix both of these issues?

The screen is not cracked and has never been repaired before. About one month ago water did get to it but it did nothing to my phone. My now ex boyfriend had slammed my phone on the ground 2 to 3 times.

Whoever had slammed your phone has caused the problem. Get a new screen.
Is it cracked? How long have you been using it? If you have been using it for a long time, try getting a new battery. If it's cracked then you should get a new screen. If it's not cracked then open it and if there isnt a wire connecting to the screen, look at a teardown to see what goes where.

I have a similar issue and saw that with a dif. model several people had the same problem as well. The prevailing sentiment is that it is a defective battery and can be fixed by replacing said battery.

I replaced the battery, but the screen still has black lines and won’t repond to touch.

Hey Cristal, I would defiantly like a little more details, how did it get like this? Did it drop or has the device been exposed to water?
