Faint White Bars on Screen After Replacement–iPhone 5s Repair Issue
I recently replaced the screen assembly on my iphone 5s with a screen assembly from ifixit and now see two very faint white bars running parallel, symmetrically, and vertically on the edges of the replacement screen assembly.
(The ifixit replacement screen assembly looks and feels like a "cheap knock-off" both in the display characteristic--color balance, contrast, and consistency--and build quality when compared with the factory original. That is another matter, however.)
Has anyone had any luck fixing a similar issue to the one described above? I disassembled the phone, cleaned with alcohol, and re-attached the 4 connectors that originate from the screen assembly and attach to the case. This greatly reduced, but did not entirely resolve the issue.
Can anyone describe why the white bar issue arises, and a recommend reliable fix for it?
Thanks in advance!

This usually happens due to a bad connection on the LCD cable. I got mine fixed by either reseating the connector or replacing the screen. Could you take a picture of the LCD cable and digitizer cable where the connection pins are? They could be damaged in a way.

Thank you for the reply. Further cleaning and care of the contacts, as well as a "settling in" time for the new connections, has fully resolved the issue.
Thank you again!
