iPhone 6 screw is magnetic ITSELF, where does it go?
I have the earpiece bracket and the front panel assembly bracket(the one that covers the LCD/digitizer cable connections) removed, for a total of 8 screws I'm sitting here looking at.
The front panel assembly cable bracket takes three 1.2 MM screws along the bottom, a 3.1mm screw on the top right, and a 1.7 mm screw on the top left.
The earpiece bracket has one 2.3 mm screw on the top left, one 3 mm screw on the top right, and a 2.2 mm screw on the bottom right.
My problem is I'm scared if I mix up the 3.1mm and 3.0mm screw Ill fry something. Ive tried googling it but all I found was long screw damage, mostly talking about the 5. It said this wasn't as big of a problem for the 6?
Anyway, I can actually 100% tell one of the screws is longer. So that SHOULD be the one that goes top right in the front panel assembly cable bracket. However, while measuring I discovered it(the longer one) was very slightly magnetic itself.
Not as in it was attracted to a magnetic screwdriver - they all are.
As in it will stick to other screws and my nonmagnetic tweezers.
Having always been taught that the top right screw was nonmagnetic as a rule, this has me concerned. However I'm also thinking that the magnetic screw being right beside the earpiece speaker would interfere with it, so the magnetic screw probably goes in the top right of the display assembly cable bracket.
But I'm not sure. So really I'm asking where does the magnetic screw go?
And how much can I screw up the 6 if I were to put a screw in the wrong spot?
I have a feeling if the screw is magnetic it needs to be placed in the correct spot or it will fry something.
I've already tried using the guide, and its not really helping me.
Maybe I have to go buy a set of calipers?
Thank you for any help!
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
