How can I retrieve the memory from my broken iPhone 4s?

My iPhone 4s was destroyed by my estranged father and I'm pretty sure he must've hit it with a sledge hammer because it's in pieces now. I desperately need the pictures off of my phone, they were really important to me. Is there a anyway I can extract the memory from my broken iPhone or where I should take it to get the pictures back. Any info will help, thanks.

I added some pictures, I hope that helps. I'm not sure which pieces are what but it is pretty bent out of shape :(

thanks for the pics :) i have to agree with old turkey on this one it looks like a bit of a mess but with some LUCK and some patience the logic board might sill be able to be extracted as a whole. if you could place them logic board in a different shell it might just work !!! but the odds are against you from what i can see but i ve seen worse and it still worked ;)

actually ... on a bit of a closer look ... i think i can see a gash in the logic board, just under the battery flap... right where the sim card was ... looks like the sim tray caused damage as well ... i have to be realistic with you ... i think this is a goner :(

So is the sim card the piece that holds the memory/pictures?

If the logic board on this phone is still intact there is hope :) how bad is it ? is the chassis all bent out of shape ? can you elaborate a bit more on the damage ? as i was saying ... if the logic board is still intact you may be able to put the logic board in a different shell. unfortunately the storage of any iPhone is a chip on the board, so you can't extract the storage and put it on an other phone. upload a couple of pics maybe i can help further

iPhone logic board

it looks like the logic board has been split or partially severed ... the only hope the phone had is if the logic board was "intact" which it looks like its not :( The phones DATA has in no way to do with what the sim holds "as DATA" sim: some numbers and you phone number info. Phone Memory which by the way is a crucial part of the logic board : pics, numbers apps, music. to make a long story short ....

if the logic board is not intact ( as a whole, like the picture) it can't possibly be mended ;(

The board is clearly torn in half, with the USB and cellular parts obliterated, so you have to put the CPU and the flash chip to a donor board and try to boot.

In my opinion it does not look good, it is very likely that the phone will refuse to boot without the original cellular chips, also the force of the impact may have shattered every chip so it is dead beyond recovery.

@lovelyghosty wow somebody has some serious anger management issues. Just from the few images you posted, I'd say it does not look good. The logic board is where it is all at. If that would be okay, a transplant to a different case might have worked. Right now it does not look good.

This (red arrows) is where your logic board is

and this is the way it should look like

I was afraid of that.. I can't give up on it though, but I'm not sure what to do or how to try to fix it :(

I hear you and I feel for you, but this looks really, really bad. Try to peel it like an onion, one layer at the time you need to preserve as much of the board as you can. Use these guides to look at things where they belong etc. Once you have it further apart continue to post images. Again, it does look like a lost cause.
