Why is my dyson not starting

If the motor seems to be cutting in and out and you have checked that it the cord is firmly plugged into the power outlet when you are using it, (does it happen if you just let it run in the one position - not move it back and forth?) and since you state that you have only had it since last November, I suggest that you consult the warranty documentation that came with the vacuum cleaner (or go to the manufacturer's website) as to what you have to do to make a claim for a warranty repair or replacement.
