Screen is stuck black but turns on

So last night i fell asleep watching youtube on my phone ( i do that a lot). I wake up hearing my phone alarm go off and its under my pillow and head but still charging. I press home button but screen is stuck black, i remove battery then put back in and i cna feel it vibrate like it always does when being turned on but screen is still stuck black. The phone was really hot when i woke up and i put it in front of a fan for 30 mins and it cooled down but still didnt work. Also it gets very warm near the top of the phone like around the camera after it was just cooled down....what do i do. And if it IS broken am i able to take the sim-card and just put it into another android phone? There is a slight smell of like toxicity where the charging port is.
