Logic Board Upgrade from 2.4Ghz to 2.66Ghz Backlight Problem

I've attempted to fit a A1286 2.66Ghz T9550 Early 2009 Logic board into my 2008 Unibody A1286 2.4Ghz 15" Macbook Pro. The swap was perfect and all connections were made sure to be properly connected. The system boots up normally with the mac chime, and loads into the OSX, but for some strange reason the display doesn't work properly, If I look closely there is picture just the backlight does not work with the new board. The board works flawlessly other than this problem, and I can connect an external display to it and it recognizes the display.

I tried resetting the PRAM and double checked the connections. I have swapped the 2.4Ghz board back in and the backlight works again. Was the 15" Display from the Early 2009 different which is why it's causing this problem? The LVDS connector is the same.. this is puzzling. Or could it be the board itself? Has anyone done this?

I want to upgrade my MacBook Pro to the later version that supports 8GB Ram.
