Looking for any specialist who could convert a 77-250k (gold knobs) am band to fm for a reasonable price in the U.K.

The CB radio is in the 27 MHz band and operates in Amplitude Modulation (AM). I'm not sure what you're attempting to do? Converting the radio to FM in the 27 MHz band will not get you anything useable, besides you just can't switch modulation schemes without changing almost the entire circuitry.
