Why does my iPhone 4 won't turn on?

My phone was drained and it turned it off itself . As usual , I've drag my charger in it and unexpectedly , It doesn't turn on automatically like before. I've tried the HOME&POWER BUTTON style but still, it's useless . One thing , the apple logo is always there every time i put the charger but doesn't turn on at all. Please help me .Someone please ? It's my husband's gift and I'm desperate to fix it.

So what you are saying is that when you plug it in, the apple logo pops up but will not boot up successfully correct?

And when you unplug the cable the apple logo disappears immediately right?

If this is the case then this is usually the cause of the battery going faulty or not plugged in correctly. Replacing the battery should fix the problem.

Boot the phone into recovery mode? And check to see if an update is needed or if not, then try a restore on your computer when connected?

How long have you left it charging? I've had them not come on, I plug it in and forget it for a couple hours, come back and it's on.

Sorry to not have more ironclad "without a doubt," instructions, but someone else may have a take like that. I'd not panic yet....this isn't that unusual and usually a few hours later it's been corrected somehow.
